Asst. Station Master ( Railways)

To be eligible to become an Assistant Station Master in India one should be a graduate in any discipline.

 Diploma in Rail Transport and management from the Institute of Rail transport will be an added advantage to get this job. T

he aspiring candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 33 years.

The post-ASM is a Group C post and it's starting salary from a basic pay of Rs 35400 in level 6 7th CPC. 

Exam Pattern

General Awareness: History of India and Freedom Struggle/Social and Economic Geography of India and World/Indian Polity and Governance-constitution and political system/General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India/General Science and Life Science/Current Events of National and International Importance/Art and Culture of India/Indian Literature/Monuments and Places of India/Games and Sports/UN and Other important World Organizations/Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large/Basics of Computers and Computer Applications/Common Abbreviations/Transport Systems in India/Indian Economy/Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India/Famous Personalities of India and World/Flagship Government Programs/Flora and Fauna of India, etc.
  2. Mathematics: Number System/Algebra/LCM & HCF/Ratio and Proportions/Mensuration/Fractions/SI & CI/Profit and Loss/Geometry and Trigonometry/Time and Work/Time and Distance/Decimals/Percentage/Elementary and statiscis etc.
  3. General Intelligence & ReasoningCompletion of Number and Alphabetical Series/Coding and Decoding/Analogies/Syllogism/Data Sufficiency/Statement-Conclusion/Statement-Courses of Action/Puzzle/Venn Diagrams/Jumbling/Similarities & Differences/Mathematical Operations/Decision Making/Interpretation of Graphs/Analytical Reasoning, etc.
